A Brief History of Simco

SIMCO was formed in 1970 by Helmut Simon. Prior to 1961, Helmut worked at KUKA's Resistance Welding Engineering Department in Augsburg, Germany and learned the basic fundamentals. From 1961 to 1969 he increased his knowledge in this field at a local Southern California welding machine manufacturer. During this period he designed standard and special welding equipment for the Aircraft, Automotive and Industrial industry. From 1967 till 1969 he contracted engineering and drafting services. During this time more customers were asking to service and maintain their Spot Welding machines. In 1970 SIMCO was formed to serve customers nationwide with Engineering and Sales of resistance welding Supplies and Accessories.
